“Glorious New Zealand rock from the country that brought you, well, little else. The music is, as the name insinuates, good clean rock. It sounds like Cap’n Jazz without the noise and with a bit more pop sensibility. This anthology is for all fans of rock. The Clean has been making quality music for over two decades and it is about time that they get what is due to them. High points: In spirit and in history, it’s like a better Violent Femmes. Low points: The recording itself is very flat and does not allow the full dynamic range of the band to show.”
