Rent My Chest

“Our team of specialized trained monkeys fell short this week.

We requested one thing from them, to find a freakish site that would make us think differently about Mother’s Day. They returned from our high-tech research center with nothing but links to E-cards and a slew of bad poetry. Now, we’ve got them locked up in a room with a drunk, washed up, and pugilistic Dave Matthews. That should be punishment enough for now. One more slip-up, though and it’s monkey knife-fight time.

One of our special little helper monkeys redeemed himself at the last minute, though. This little guy was terrified of being anywhere near Mr. Matthews. He suggested and interesting alternative for people to show just how much they love their mothers: Rentmychest.com.

Needless to say, we were all intrigued by the idea of renting someone else’s chest as a sign of affection. Not to worry, this is not as dirty as it sounds. Basically, Chris Pirillo has been kind enough to donate his flat and hairless chest for the betterment of society, and all for a nominal fee.

For $20 sent in via PayPal anyone can submit a message to be broadcast across Chris’ chest. Happy Mother’s Day, anyone? What else could your mother love more than the site of marker taken to bare skin? Probably a good deal of things, like a trip to France. That’s so passxefxbfxbd, though. People send their parents on trips all the time. Parents always go away. Nobody gives their parents something this unique, though.

Show major corporations like Hallmark that we don’t need their stinking greeting cards. We’re better than that. Don’t give the same old boring card that has the same message as every other card.

Of course you can argue that most cards nowadays come from recycled paper and that is good for the environment. Paper can only be recycled so many times. What waste is there with skin?

Be the first kid on your block to rent someone’s chest for your mom. You’ll make dad so proud.”
